This is the Sea Robin or the “butterfly of the sea.” It’s more scientifically but less creatively known as the Gurnard. As you can see, it has “legs” and can “walk” along the bottom of the sea where it spends most of its time as a bottom dweller. It spreads its beautiful “wings” (pectoral fins) when it feels threatened to discourage predators.
Now you know something new. 🙂
That’s a pretty fish.
Isn’t it? 🙂 I thought so too.
When I first saw it I thought it wasn’t real.
